Steady (series)

As my ability to hold a steady line declines with age I find myself frustrated at my inability to create sharp and accurate lines as I did in my youth. My inner child mourns the loss of competence but is calmed by the notion that I didn’t possess the skill to create a piece with so much balance and harmony when I had the capacity to create perfect lines.

This is the ultimate trade we make as we age- losing ability and skill for gained experience and wisdom. Our inner child becomes satiated and dulled through the growth of its counterpart. This series attempts to preserve the vibrance and curiosity we lose as the youth within us gradually fades away.
